Programme: Guardians Meet - Department Wise

Deshbandhu College for Girls organized a department wise Guardians- Teachers meet via Department meet, Calls, Google

Meet, Zoom, What's app (As per Guardians- Teachers convenient) for better communications between students, teachers

and guardians.

The meet generated very good and positive feedback from the Guardians, and appreciated the efforts we had put in.

As directed by WBHED, Deshbandhu College for Girls organized a one-week long online Students’ Week Program to aid students in

various facets of their education. We tried to involve as many aspects as possible in this Programme to ensure holistic approach towards

various issues faced by the students.

Day 1 & 2:

Guardian’s Meet

As a part of the Students Week Programme, Deshbandhu College for

Girls organized an online Psychological Workshop. We were honored to

have amongst us the noted Speaker Prof. Rakhi Sengupta, Psychologist

and Counsellor who delivered the keynote lecture on ‘Mindfulness in

Daily Life’. We are glad that she could take out time from her extremely

busy schedule for our webinar.
This YouTube video had been watched live by more than 150 participants

with innumerable comments and live chats and till date has achieved 342

views. The technical session also involved interactions between the

Speaker and the students from our college where speaker did a small

workshop through meditation, mindful eating with the students.

The webinar generated very good and positive feedback from the

audience, who pointed on the importance of such awareness campaigns

and appreciated the efforts we had put in.

Engineering and Management .We are glad that he could take out
time from his extremely busy schedule for our webinar.

Career Counselling Programme

This YouTube video had been watched live by more than 150

participants with innumerable comments and live chats and till

date has achieved 410 views. The technical session also involved

interactions between the Speaker and the students from our

college where speaker give suggestion about their career.

The webinar generated very good and positive feedback from the

audience, who pointed on the importance of such awareness

campaigns and appreciated the efforts we had put in.

Deshbandhu College for Girls presented an online Special Lecture and

Student Interaction on Student-friendly Schemes of Govt. of West
Bengal . We were honored to have amongst us the noted Speaker Dr.

Sudipa Bandyopadhyay, Shiksharatna Awardee, Govt. of West Bengal;

Associate Professor, Dept. of Sanskrit, Vidyasagar College. We are glad

that she could take out time from her extremely busy schedule for our

webinar. She discussed with students about the different Fellowship

Programmes and Welfare Schemes including Student Credit Card, that

were brought forth by the Govt. of West Bengal.
This session also included Interaction with students of our College who

had availed of different scholarships and other schemes in the previous

Academic year. They shared their experience with us all and encouraged

the new students to avail these opportunities.

Deshbandhu College for Girls organized a Inter-departmental

Quiz Competition on Corona Pandemic: myths and realities.
Students formed team of 3 members from each Department and

actively participated in this competition.
This entire session was thoroughly enjoyed by both the students

and the faculties. Prof. Sutapa Basu, Department of English acted as

the Quiz Master and Prof. Sunipa Samadder Nandi, Department of

Education, kept scores.

Inter-Departmental Quiz Competition

Topic: Corona Pandemic: myths and realities

Deshbandhu College for Girls concluded the Students Week with a Cultural Programme on Google Meet. Many students

participated in the programme and presented dance, songs, and recitations.
Students had recorded their performance, which they had sent over to us through email. Prof. Anindita Datta, Department of

Economics, very meticulously arranged the performances and presented them before the live audience.
