The book entitled "Organ Donation: An Ethical Enquiry", 
authored  by  Dr.  Sriparna  Dasgupta,  a  Faculty  in  the 

Department of Philosophy, was officially released by our 

respected Principal, Dr Anita Chattopadhyay Gupta. 
The  book  has  been  financially  supported  by  the  Indian 

Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR), New Delhi. The 

book  offers  an  insight  into  the  positive  impact  of  organ 

donation  on  ethical  grounds.  The  main  objective  of  the 

book  is  to  create  awareness  in  society  about  organ 

donation by clearing all myths and misconceptions about 

organ  donation.  It  urges  its  readers  to  take  a  pledge  to 

donate organs after death. Organ donation is regarded as 

a 'gift of life', and treated as one of the finest gestures of 

humanity.  
The  book  release  was  witnessed  by  all  the  teaching  and 

non-teaching staff of the College.
